Many schools end at different times of the year, the theme for this Back to School Counting Cards can be used year round. Do you return to school in August? Many schools do in Florida and it is hard to study apples and fall when it is 100 degrees outside!
Count to answer "how many?" questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration is a required Kindergarten standard. Each of the 20 clip cards has a box of markers of two boxes and the markers for counting are displayed on top of the box! Your students need to count the number of markers and pick the corresponding number. 
Then, after they are done practicing on the clip cards, there is also four matching adorable worksheets included too. With the worksheet Answer Keys also included, this helps you quickly and efficiently check your students work in a very short amount of time.
* Page One - This Back to School Themed Counting Clip Cards page is a photograph that is to be used as a Folder Cover. This page is a bright, colorful cover for your personal teacher files. Attach to the front of a folder, keep all your pages inside the folder, place into your file cabinet, and you are all ready for next year with this easily identified color by number folder cover.
* Pages Two to Nine - These adorable May Ice Cream Truck Counting Clip Cards Pages Focus on counting skills. These pages have a total of 20 clip cards and each card has a number of items from 1 to 20 with three choices for the answer. These pages can be used as a whole sheet, in a game board manner, or cut into the individual clip cards. Some clothes pins are required to play this counting center, but as I show you in the photographs, I prefer little plastic bears or math counters because it will save your cards from abuse and your students will not pinch their fingers.

Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.CC.A.3
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.CC.B.4.A
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.

Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
