Today is THE day in my district!
In less then two hours the children will be piling into my school! This is the basket by my sink, every year since the kids were little I've changed the "summer" watermelon piece to the "back to school" apple piece. The pieces have nothing to do with Longaberger Baskets, I've repurposed them from some long-thrown-away wreath! But, this morning I looked at it and thought, "Did we even have a summer? Wooooooosh, gone!"

Instead, as I stand here this morning, I feel more like the summer jumped me and now is gone, more like Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat: A Calvin and Hobbes Collection.

ReplyDeleteI hope you have the best first day back ever! The students are lucky to have you, the teachers are lucky you are their colleague and the parents must be thrilled that their children are being educated by such a passionate, outgoing, enthusiastic woman!
