Pencil Cup My Daughter Made in First Grade!
My daughter made this during first grade! I love it! I was the .5 Network Specialist & .5 Gifted Teacher that year. We opened a brand new school together and everything was so new and pretty! I was a single, divorced Mom back then and had to work a lot on Saturdays installing computers & software and my principal allowed my kiddos to come with me. They loved how quiet the school was on the weekends!
I have used this pencil cup everywhere we've moved, at every school I've been at and even when I took a year or two off, it would be at my desk at home! It is part of my organization, there is no need to have more items all over my desk than will fit into this cup. Even room for paperclips!
Organization is the difference between a good teacher and a great teacher!
It is the difference between a great teacher and an excellent teacher because you are not wasting your time & energy looking for things!
The design was Heather's idea of what our new school looked like, it was red, it had a playground & everything, including the sun, is happy! :)
Pretty Close Right?!?!
The reason I post about this today is to thank all you primary teachers!
I know for a fact that her teacher bought those pencil cups with her own money, 11 years later, I still love her for it!
August 2012
Heather, starting her Senior Year & Andrew, starting his Freshman Year!
They will always be my babies!
{No, she doesn't work at Burger King! The senior tradition here is to make a crown to wear on the first day of school....you know, rule the school!}
I WOULD ♥LOVE♥ IT IF YOU WOULD FOLLOW
